Teresa and Eric’s wedding day felt relaxed all the way through. One super big reason for this is they both chose to have that kind of wedding celebration. I know that sounds obvious. But it really is a choice to take time to breath, laugh and smile your way through the day.

We started the day at Little America in Flagstaff where both Theresa and Eric got dressed and ready. They weren’t worried about seeing each other before hand, which can be really nice. Eric and the groomsmen got dressed at the hotel and Theresa waited to put on her dress until right before the ceremony at San Francisco de Asis Roman Catholic Church. If it looks like it took quite awhile to get Eric’s bowtie just right it’s because it did take a long time. Bowties are notoriously tricky to get tied, even with a YouTube tutorial. I suggest practicing a lot if that’s what you plan to wear!

Once we all made it to the church, Theresa got in her dress and had some time with her parents before walking down the aisle. After a beautiful ceremony we spent a few minutes taking some photos with the San Francisco Peaks in the background. The bride and groom wanted some photos in downtown Flagstaff so we met up a bit later after they took a little time to themselves back at the hotel. It’s such a good idea to build in time throughout your day for just the two of you.

After we strolled around downtown for a bit, we headed up the mountain to Arizona Snowbowl for their reception. But we couldn’t help but make a short detour for some photos in the Aspen trees on the way up. Again, plenty of time in the timeline to have some fun!

The lodge at Snowbowl features and awesome deck perfect for cocktail hour. Theresa and Eric joined the festivities before we moved inside. The lodge is rustic in a really good way but can be dressed up to feel a bit fancy. It’s a nice combination. After toasts, Theresa, Eric and I snuck outside for some golden hour sunset photos before the dance floor shenanigans took over. It was a pretty fun dance party.

In the end, the celebration felt effortless, super fun and relaxed despite a long day. Enjoy!
