What is your Photographic style?

I love photojournalism. I also love portraits. And I really love environmental portraits. You know, pictures of people that include what’s going on around them. Like a wedding! I generally prefer photos with people in them. People are super interesting. Photography is art. And like any artist, I want my work to be unique. But mostly I want my photos to reflect the essence of the people I’m working with. I want your style to show through. For most of the day, I’m very hands off. I want to capture moments as they unfold. But, I also strongly believe it’s important to get beautiful, simply posed images of the two of you. Planning 30-45 minutes to make this happen is ideal.

How many images do we get? How do we get them?

It really depends on the kind of wedding celebration you plan. But usually around 100 finished, edited images per hour is where we end up. All the finished images go in an online gallery with a link to download the high resolution photos. It’s pretty easy!

Do you edit all of our images?

I do. Your images will all look like Ryan Williams Photography photos. I edit each photo for color accuracy and contrast. And to make them look super rad! That’s why is takes some time before I deliver the final product.

Do you work by yourself or with a second photographer?

I most often work by myself. I’m really good at it. But sometimes the logistics of the day require a second photographer. And I work with really good ones.

Do you offer discounts?

I stand behind my package pricing but sometimes discounts are available. If you love my photography but have budget concerns, let’s talk. We can usually put together a custom package that makes sense.

Black and white or color?

You will get a combination of color and black and white images. Some images work better in black and white, so that’s how you will get them. Some work both ways so I’ll edit and deliver both.

Do you travel for weddings? Is there a travel fee?

I most certainly do. I love traveling! The travel fee varies depending on where I’m going. I plan my own travel to keep costs down.

Should we provide you a "shot list?”

The only shot list I need is for family photos. I can send you a sample list to help you put that together. As for the rest of the day, I generally photograph everything you will want and prefer not to have a list. I’m good at this wedding photography thing. No need to worry!

How long does it take to receive our images after the wedding?

You will receive your images somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks after your wedding day. I like to send some sneak peeks a day or so after your big day. Why does it take this long? Because I edit ALL of your photos myself. This ensures that they look fantastic. You deserve nothing less.

Do we get to keep the digital negatives?

Yes. You get the high-resolution files with full print release.

Can we do our own printing or do we have to print through you?

You can print wherever you like. But, I strongly encourage you to print through your gallery, which is connected to a fantastic professional lab. I keep the cost low to encourage you to print with quality. It makes such a difference to print through a lab as opposed to a Walmart or Walgreens. Your photos deserve the best!

Should we do an Engagement Session?

I think so! Engagement sessions are super fun and give us a chance to hang out a bit before your wedding day. You get more comfortable in front of the camera and get a feel for how I work. And, you end up with some rad images to document a pretty amazing time in your lives together.

Where should we have an Engagement Session?

It’s all about you. Want a forest environment? Want to go epic and head out to Horseshoe Bend? Urban environment? The sky is pretty much the limit here.
